Wanderers are in the way of Kutchi Tigers winning a local season double as the two sides face off in the quarterfinals of the T20 League on Sunday.

Kutchi Tigers got through their Group A easily which set up a quarterfinal with Group B runners-up Wanderers.

Wanderers lost their last group match to Tornado and will need to raise their game against the league champions but psychologically they are the only side to have beaten them in the 50-Over season.

Wanderers finished second in the 50-Over season behind Kutchi Tigers and if they are to win anything this season they will have to find a way past Kutchi Tigers.

Ceylon Lions has been close to winning the league in the past but then a certain Aziz Damani was in the way. Now without Aziz Damani, they know this could be their opportunity of winning a major title.

Ceylon Lions will rely on the power of Robinson Obuya together with the pace of Juma Miyagi for a big result against a stubborn Avengers side.

Avengers has been in the final of the T20 League and lost to Damani so they also know this is an opportunity for them to go for glory. They might not have any big names in their lineup but they are a decent sum of the parts when they play together.

Budo and Tornado travel to Jinja in a clash where the latter is a huge favourite. Tornado won Group B and hasn’t dropped a game yet. Budo sneaked into the quarterfinals after Kutchi Tigers opted not to play against them in the end going past Tornado Bee. Budo has nothing to lose and a fearless approach could help them upset the favourites Tornado.

Rounders host Nyakasura in the clash of equals. Rounders are dangerous at home and they came through a tough Group D and Nyakasura will need to be on their A-game if they are to take down the hosts.

Pascal Murungi returns for Nyakasura from a stint in the Zimbabwean Premier League and his team will need him to rise to the occasion as they chase a semifinal place.
