Uganda will play an unchanged pool phase during the second round of the 2024 Rugby Africa Men’s 7s in Mauritius.
They were drawn in the same pool with Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, and Tunisia. As it was in the first round last weekend.
Pools for Round Two of the 2024 Rugby Africa Men’s 7s:
- Pool A: Uganda, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia.
- Pool B: Madagascar, Kenya, Zambia, Algeria.
- Pool C: South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Nigeria.
Uganda topped the pool despite a stiff challenge from Cote d’Ivoire and went on to win the Cup. Burkina Faso reached the semifinals where they lost the bronze medal match to South Africa.
Uganda collected maximum points (20) and now lead the tournament rankings table ahead of finalists Madagascar followed by South Africa as the top three teams.
The second and final round of the tournament will be played from July 6-7 at the Labourdonnais Sports Club.
