In a professional football institution, the synergy between the first (top) management and the supporters (fans) is equated to a heart-beat.

The fans are virtually an important pillar and stakeholder for the institution upon which many operations hinge.

Their crucial roles vary from backing the players prior to, during and after play; support to club’s financial coffers through match day and seasonal tickets, club regalia and tools to posing questions of the club’s desired direction.

It is upon this rich and firm background that Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club respects their darling fans to the dot and brim.

This Sunday, 23rd June 2024, the KCCA board will engage fans at the club’s MTN Omondi fortress in Lugogo, Kampala.

The meeting is expected to commence by 2 PM with the key objectives intended as fostering a bridge between the top parties since the fans will further have a deeper understanding about the affairs at their beloved club.

According to the KCCA FC fans coordination officer Tom Matovu, the issues projected to be raised will surround the general running of the club in administrative, management, technical, general operations, fans’ involvement and development issues as the on-going stadium construction project.

The KCCA Football club board is chaired by Eng. Andrew Mukiibi Sserunjogi.

The other board members are; Jeremiah Keeya Mwanje, Joseph Kirimanyi, Nusifa Nakato and another club legendary player Jackson “Mia-Mia” Mayanja.

The deliberations from such a meeting will be documented and are intended to steer the club direction heading forward as the 2024-2025 footballing season kicks in.

At least 300 KCCA fans are expected to turn up at Lugogo as their message will be spread to the countryside to lure and expand the club’s anticipated fanbase.

Since the founding year in 1963, KCCA FC has won 13 Uganda Premier League titles, 10 Uganda Cups, 2 CECAFA club championships, 6 FUFA super cups, 1 super 8, 1 Nkurunziza peace cup (Burundi) and has been at the CAF Champions League on five occasions, including playing at the prestigious group stages in 2018.
