Sadick Sempigi has been handed the mantle to lead Lugazi FC as their new head coach in their maiden StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign.

The ex-Mbarara City, Arua Hill and Jinja North gaffer was announced by the club on Tuesday July 2.

Lugazi earned promotion to the top tier last season but ended the season without a permanent head coach.

Sempigi who also coached Onduparaka and often worked as Livingstone Mbabazi second in command couldn’t hide his excitement.

“I am thrilled to join Lugazi and be part of this ambitious and passionate club,” he said.

“I am focused on bringing my best to this club and committed to working hard, contributing to the team’s success and achieving great things together,” he added.

His big assignment will be to keep the side afloat in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, the club has signed midfielder Rogers Adriko from UPDF.
