Life is a testament of a complete metamorphosis. From a day old to adulthood, a lot happens to a person in the process of eventual growth and development.

Football coach Yassir Magala’s journey to now a CAF “C” certified stems from his active football days right on elementary level at Kabojja Junior school.

He continued with the football journey throughout the secondary school days at Kibuli Secondary School, Faiha High School, Gombe Secondary School and East High School.

Upon completion of his advanced level of examination, he was admitted at the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU).

His club career commenced at Bukasa Football Club, Kiwafu Lions and Heritage football club where he got injured and transited to coaching.

“I loved to play until I got injured and switched to coaching” Magala, who started the coaching badges confessed.

Magala has previously coached Kisugu Futsal Club in the betPawa Futsal Super League.

He then headed to Kololo High School, a job he currently doubles as Bukasa Dynamo football club head coach.

To date, Magala holds a CAF “C” coaching certificate and aspires to elevate to higher levels as CAF “B” and eventually CAF “A.

His philosophy of play is embedded along religion, smartness, strict time management and discipline as key pillars to producing complete footballers.

Magala’s preferred system of play is rotated around the 4 -2-3-1; 3-5-2 and the 3-4-3 depending on the kind of opposition as aligned to his role models; Abdallah Mubiru and Italian legendary coach Carlo Ancelotti Cavaliere.

Mubiru, currently at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club as well as Real Madrid’s Ancelotti are two football purists who have preached the beautiful game and wooed as many people as people.

This is the clear path that Yassir Magala wants to follow with due passion.
