She Believed Her Disability Made Her Unlovable, Until Everything Took a Turn

For many years, Maria Namusoke from Masaka, Uganda, believed that love was something reserved for others. Living with a physical disability since childhood, she had grown into a strong and independent woman, yet society often made her feel inadequate. Men would overlook her, some made cruel remarks, and others acted as though she wasn’t worthy of affection. Deep inside, Maria still held on to the hope of being loved for who she was, but as time passed, that hope began to fade.
Maria gave dating apps a try, attended social events, and even joined a church youth group to connect with new people, but nothing seemed to work.
