Patriotic League of Uganda Appoints Dozens of New Patriotic Officers

On behalf of Chairman Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), the General Secretary Rt. Hon. Twalla Fadil has announced a new batch of about 82 Patriotic Officers, numbering them from PO100 onward. 

In the statement released on Tuesday 25th August 2026, the Honorees include Minister Adonia Ayebare as PO102, former Finance Minister Matia Kasaija as PO119, business leader Jay Patel, athlete Moses Kipsiro, religious figure Owobusobozi Bisaka, President Museveni’s Deputy Presidential Press Secretary Faruk Kirunda alongside other community organizers.

“Compatriots, on behalf of the Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, I am pleased to officially release another list of Patriotic Officers (POs) and their assigned numbers” reads the statements by the General Secretary.

Twaha added that “We congratulate all the newly appointed Patriotic Officers and urge them to serve with diligence, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to PLU and our Motherland”

Hon. Eng. Jonard Asiimwe Akiiki who was appointed Patriotic Officer #PO106 expressed gratitude to PLU Chairman for appointing him Patriotic Officer.

He pledged to uphold patriotism, leadership and service, using his experience and energy to support the League’s efforts in empowering youth and contributing to Uganda’s development.

Another officer Prossy Nabayinda Tamale, PO163, pledged to serve with patriotism and integrity, to grow PLU’s base while championing national development.
