Brazil will tussle against United States of America (USA) during the women football final at the Paris 2024 Olympics in France.
Brazil overcame Spain 4-2 at the Stade Orange Velodrome in Marseille before 14,201 spectators.
Irene Paredes, Gabi Portillho and Adriana Leal’s brace inspired Brazil to victory.
Salma Paralluelo got the brace for Spain during the game handled by Rebecca Walech from England.
The other semi-final was between United States of America (USA) and Germany at the Groupama stadium in Lyon city before 11,716 spectators.
USA won the game 1-0 courtesy of Sophia Smith’s 95th minute goal in extra time during a contest handled by Bouchra Karboubi from Morocco.
The Brazil – USA final will be a repeat of the 2004 and 2008 Olympic games finals (USA won both encounters).
The bronze medal match will be between Germany and Spain.
Meanwhile, the men’s final is between hosts France and Spain.
