Ismaili Community v Rounders – Lugogo

  • Morning: Rounders 116/8 beat Ismaili Community 113/8 by 2 wickets
  • Afternoon: Rounders 131/6 beat Ismaili Community 129/9 by 4 wickets

Mukono Warriors v Soroti City – Entebbe

  • Morning: Soroti City 76/3 beat Mukono Warriors 75 all out by 7 wickets
  • Afternoon: Soroti City 135/6 beat Mukono Warriors 76 all out by 56 runs

JACC v ACC – Jinja

  • Morning: JACC 169/5 beat ACC 96/5 by 73 runs
  • Afternoon: JACC 204/5 beat ACC 58 all out by 146 runs

The Men’s T20 League newcomers didn’t have a great outing on Matchday 2 as Ismaili Community was on the wrong end of the result against Rounders while Mukono Warriors fell to Soroti City.

In Jinja, travellers ACC were put to the sword by hosts JACC. Eddy Agaba had a fine day with bat and ball for the hosts as he got a half-century and picked up four wickets to help JACC pick up their first points of the season with Edwin Nuwagaba offering support with a half century of his own in one of the doubleheader games.

ACC which is packed with many youngsters could not find the inspiration on the day to overcome a more experienced opponent.

In Entebbe, Soroti City got maximum points against newcomer Mukono Warriors. Jacob Malinga (5/21) picked the first fiver of the side to give Soroti City their first points of the season. Juma Sururu (45) scored the runs for the side from Soroti as they put away Mukono Warriors in the morning game low scoring game.

Mukono Warriors is a new side from the growing cricket community in Mukono.

In Lugogo, Rounders earned maximum points against a strong newcomer in Ismaili Community.

Ismaili Community had the Cricket Cranes star Riazat Ali Shah in their ranks but he could not overcome a determined Rounders side. Youngster Pius Oloka (45) scored the runs for Rounders who got their first win of the T20 League.
