Mr. Wind makes sharp accusations against Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine

Ugandan singer and fashion designer Mr. Wind, real name John Mukwaya, has stirred up controversy after making bold accusations against two of Uganda’s biggest music and political figures, Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine.
During a candid interview on Spark TV, the “Juba” hitmaker did not hold anything back.
Mr. Wind began by revisiting the 2010 PAM Awards, where he claims he was unjustly denied the Best Reggae Artist accolade.
According to him, his popular track “Juba”, which dominated the airwaves at the time, was clearly more deserving of the award than Bebe Cool’s “Kasepiki”, which took home the honor.
There’s no way Kasepiki could have beaten Juba in any fair competition. My song was the hottest in town.
The singer didn’t stop there; he also took a dig at Bobi Wine, accusing the NUP party and its leader of copying his fashion style and creative identity without giving him credit.
According to Mr. Wind, aspects of his artistic branding and style were “copied and pasted,” leaving him feeling overlooked and unacknowledged.
They took everything — the fashion, the style — and never even said thank you.
Amidst the accusations, Mr. Wind also opened up about a deeply personal tragedy, the loss of his wife, who passed away due to liver failure.
The singer expressed his sorrow and the emotional toll it has taken on him, revealing a more vulnerable side behind the outspoken artist.
