MC Kachaina Reacts to Being Pushed by Madrat on Stage

Western Uganda-based events emcee and comedian Kachaina has addressed the recent incident that happened between him and comedy duo Madrat and Chiko.

The comedy duo was scheduled to perform at the recently concluded NRM political event at Kololo airstrip, where MC Kachaina was among the emcees of the day.

According to Kachaina, Madrat’s microphone went off midway through their performance, and he signaled the emcees to bring another one for him.

Kachaina rushed to the deejays for the replacement but was unfortunately not helped. “I went to the deejays requesting another microphone. They refused and told me they would only give me another one after I had brought the faulty one,” he said.

When he tapped Madrat to give him feedback, he pushed him back in a seemingly rough manner that wasn’t pleasing to the crowd. The captured moment went viral on social media, sparking an uproar amongst users. 

Kachaina acknowledged that he was not happy with Madrat’s reaction at first, but had chosen to let it go. He was only addressing it because his fans were offended and decided to raise a storm on social media.

“I tapped on him to give him feedback, but he pushed me in a way that didn’t please the people. I was hurt, but I had moved on. The audience showed that they had taken notice of it. I didn’t think they had because I wasn’t on camera. They didn’t like it,” he said.

While a section of users claimed that Madrat and Chiko had pushed him out of jealousy, MC Kachaina revealed that they were his friends and believed they might have done it unintentionally.

“They are my friends. On a positive side, for comedians, when they are performing, they really want people to understand and enjoy the jokes. When you get distracted by someone else, you feel like someone is destroying it. Maybe he didn’t realize it or even know that it was me,” he said.
