Kamala Harris Suggests Donald Trump Is “Chaos” At Wisconsin Rally

While speaking to an amped-up crowd, Harris wasted no time coming for the GOP nominee, Donald TrumpA few quotes from the VP’s speech are getting extra attention online, including one about the “choice between freedom and chaos” in November’s election.

“In this campaign, I promise you, I will proudly put my record against [Donald Trump’s] any day of the week,” Kamala Harris said in Wisconsin. “We believe in a future where every person has the opportunity not just to get by, but to get ahead.”

Harris is leaning into her resume as a former district attorney and California attorney general, seeking to draw a contrast with Trump. He is the first former president to be convicted of felony crimes. In May, a jury found him guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records related to paying an adult entertainer “hush money” ahead of the 2020 presidential election.

“I took on perpetrators of all kinds. Predators who abused women. Fraudsters who ripped off consumers. Cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. So hear me when I say I know Donald Trump’s type,” Vice President Kamala Harris shared.

Additionally, Kamala Harris cast her campaign as a “people first” endeavor. Again, her strategy appears to highlight her stark contrast with Trump, whom she said represented special interests and corporations. She also portrayed her rival’s policies as antiquated and backward-looking.

“We are not going back,” she said. “And I’ll tell you why we are not going back. Ours is a fight for the future.”

The statement echos Barack Obama, who frequently deployed the phrase during his 2012 reelection fight to argue against Republican ideas.

A Recap Of The Last Two Days For Vice President Kamala

As previously reported, President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race on Sunday (July 21). The development came just weeks after his performance in the presidential debate against Trump came under scrutiny. A few verbal fumbles by President Biden at the debate and appearances after intensified public doubts about his ability to carry an election.

Note that Kamala Harris has yet to be officially nominated as the Democratic nominee. That will happen at the Democratic National Convention, which starts in about three weeks on August 19.

However, according to the Associated Press, she has already secured nomination support from a majority of the voting Democratic delegates. On Monday night, Harris released a statement about becoming the presumptive Democratic nominee.

A portion of the American people and celebrities are already backing Harris. Since Sunday afternoon, she’s raised $100 million in donations. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, she gained the backing of more Democratic officials and political groups.

President Biden Makes First Appearance Sign Resigning, While Trump Campaign Pivots To Harris Takedown

On Monday, she addressed the public from her new Delaware headquarters, with President Biden calling in to show his support. Earlier today, Biden confirmed his plans to address the American people on Wednesday about “what lies ahead” and finishing the job as president.

A few hours later, he made his first public appearance since dropping out of the race. He told the press, who waited  as he boarded Air Force One, that he was doing “well.” A follow-up statement from the White House confirmed his COVID-19 symptoms have resolved.

Meanwhile, Trump and his campaign have quickly turned most of their focus on Harris and have asserted that they were prepared for the change, and it did not alter their plans.

The former president nicknamed the vice president “Lyin’ Kamala Harris” and accused her of not being tough enough on crime as a prosecutor. He also sought to bind her to the administration’s policies on the border as he seeks to make immigration a focus of his campaign.

Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, at an appearance in Washington, said he was unimpressed by Trump’s attacks. He told reporters Tuesday, “That’s all he’s got?”
