Kawempe North Member of Parliament, Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya’s assistant Alex Luswa Luwemba has shared plans of holding Duwa prayers for the ailing lawmaker.
Speaking to the press, Mr. Luwsa revealed the plans to hold prayers for Hon. Ssegirinya in celebration of his life for how far God has brought him and for the good deeds he did for the residents of Kawempe North despite having spent much of his parliament term in the hospital treating complications regarding his stomach and spine.
He disclosed that the Duwa prayers are slated to take place around September with the actual date and venue yet to be confirmed.
He stressed plans to write to the authorities who run Kololo Ceremonial grounds requesting to use the venue for Hon. Ssegirinya’s Duwa prayers reasoning that he wants the celebrations to be run at a big and open venue so that people can get the chance to interact with their beloved legislator.
Mr. Luswa further reasoned that he decided to hold the prayers in September as he follows the doctor’s orders that permit Hon. Ssegirinya to have bed rest for three months as he recovers from the complications that have seen him bedridden since he was elected member of parliament.
