Pastor Musisi is a retired footballer whose current vibrant works of charity with the Former Footballers’ Initiative (FFI) has already wooed hearts of many.

Now in its pioneer edition, the championship has teams named after clubs from the English premier league, a proven competition with skilled footballers from across the world.

Match day one held at the schools’ campus on Kagula hill, Kakiri, Wakiso district witnessed Liverpool edge Arsenal 5-4 in a nine-goal exciting contest.

The “Cops”, Liverpool commanded the game 3-0 before Arsenal gallantly rallied back to makde it 3-all and take the lead at some stage; 3-4.

Liverpool had the best, loudest and final smile with the equalizer and eventual match winner, taking home the maximum points 5-4.

 Fred Sejuuko, the Liverpool captain acknowledged the scare to fall at some stage amid the brave fight.

“I am happy for the maximum points. We led the game with comfort 3-0 but lost the lead and we became scared of losing. However, we recollected ourselves and recovered to win the duel” Sejjuuko remarked.

The league organizer hired experienced Angelo Lonyesi to help in the further coaching and counseling of the young players.

Coming to this week’s duel between Manchester United and Aston Villa on Wednesday, 12th June 2024, Liverpool is aloft the log summit with on four points after two games.

Aston Villa and Chelsea have three points apiece, Manchester City with one and Arsenal is yet to claim any point.
