URA see off Mbale Heroes in five-goal thriller


URA FC had to dig deep to overcome Mbale Heroes FC on Saturday at the Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
The Tax Collectors had a good start to the game but Mbale Heroes showed a fighting spirit as the game eventually ended 3-2.
Ivan Ahimbisibwe ended his goal scoring drought, bagging a brace on the day for URA FC while the other goal for the home side came from Norman Namanya.
Mbale Heroes FC got the goals through Robert Eseru and Jesse Kajuba.
Ahimbisibwe opened the scores in the 24th minute heading home from close range.
The visitors were able to level matters through Eseru just a minute after the break.
URA FC however regained their lead a minute later through midfielder Namanya who was later withdrawn.
In the 56th minute Joseph Ssemujju was fouled in the box and Ahimbisibwe converted from the spot to stretch the lead before Kajuba got Mbale’s second goal seven minutes from time.
The result means URA FC move to fifth place on 33 points while Mbale Heroes FC remain bottom on 10 points.
