Standard High Zzana (STAHIZA) emerged as champions of the Aggrey Zone in the ongoing Wakiso District football qualifiers.

In a thrilling final played in front of a massive crowd at Lufuka Grounds, STAHIZA secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Aidan College.

Benon Lutaya scored the decisive goal in the 10th minute, unleashing a stunning long-range effort that sailed past Aidan College’s goalkeeper.

He found the net again in the 30th minute, but the goal was ruled out for offside as STAHIZA continued pressing for a second.

Despite Aidan College pushing forward in search of an equalizer, STAHIZA’s tall and resolute backline held firm, ensuring their lead remained intact until the final whistle.

In the third-place playoff, Zzana Mixed School claimed a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Ndejje High School in the match that preceded the final.

Ibrahim Kazungu scored a brace as Zzana Mixed secured the win against the fans’ favourite, Ndejje High School.

With this result, STAHIZA, Aidan College, and Zzana Mixed School will represent Aggrey Zone in the upcoming Wakiso District Qualifiers.
