The women are weeks away from embarking on their 2024-25 international season. Their Safari 7s defence will be on October 11-13 in Nairobi, and two weeks later from October 26-27 to November 2-3, they will be in Tunisia for the Rugby Africa Women’s 7s.

Although the men are also expected to participate in the Safari 7s, their season does not officially begin until the 2025 World Rugby HSBC 7s Challenger, whose calendar has not yet been released.

The travelling players will miss the fourth round of the 2024 Nile Special 7s Series in Gulu but will return home in time to take part in the Kyabazinga 7s next weekend.
