UCC suspends ‘Omusunsuzi’ program on Salt TV for violating broadcasting standards

The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has suspended the ‘Omusunsuzi’ program on Salt TV for violating the minimum broadcasting standards.
According to the letter issued by the communications commission, found that the program that airs from 6:00 am to 8:00 am contains abusive content, inappropriate language, and displays unprofessional conduct by the presenters.
It read that since the show airs early in the morning hours when children are likely to be watching, it exposes them to unsuitable material.
The producers of the show have since been tasked to provide written responses to the complaints received and submit recordings to the programs that aired between August 1st and September 12th, 2025, to the commission.
The TV station has been directed to submit the requested material to UCC by Friday, 19 September 2025.
