The final 18 holes of the 2025 Johnnie Walker Uganda Professional Open come on Saturday, 13th September at the picturesque par-71 Lugazi Hills and Country Club.

Rwanda’s top professional golfer Celestine Nsanzuwera took over the leaderboard from legendary long hitting Kenyan Dismas Indiza.

Nsanzuwera scored 6-under-65 during the third round to establish a two shot lead over Indiza.

“Today (Friday), I played well. I want to end strong and win it” the Rwandese who had recently won at his home club in Kigali and in Nairobi remarked.

Indiza has accumulated 209 over 54 holes and eyes a spirited fight against Nsanzuwera, Zimbabwe ace Robson Chinhoi and Uganda’s Marvin Kibirige.

“The race is tight now but I am determined. Rains disorganized me at the end but I am good to go in the final round” Indiza remarked.

Chinhoi and Kibirige from Uganda will also play in the main pressure group that tees off at 11:30 am.

Njoroge Kibugu (211), Ronald Rugumayo (213) and Ibrahim Ssemakula (Ugandan amateur) will all play the fourth round together in the second pressure group starting at 11:20 am.

Two Uganda amateurs Joseph Cwinya-ai and Joseph Reagan Akena will be with Cameroonian professional Pristhy Fon Nji in third pressure group, commencing at 11:10 am.

 Isaiah Omwoyo (Kenya), David Kamulindwa (Uganda), Greg Snow (Kenya), David Wakhu (Kenya) and Visitor Mapwanya (Zimbabwe) are all in the first 15 positions.

The professionals are playing for a total kitty of Ug.Shs 150,000,000.

Meanwhile, the final round of the professionals will be joined by the subsidiary category golfers.
