Calvary Football Club sign midfielder Mitala

Midfielder Mubarak Mitala signed a two year employment contract with newly promoted Uganda Premier League entity Calvary Football Club.

The Yumbe district based side is gearing up for their maiden season in the top tier division of Uganda’s football for the season 2025-2026.

Mitala, a proven workaholic talented midfielder put pen to paper after agreeing to terms with the club management.

“Mitala is determined to serve above self with team work effort and determination. He has set aloft personal targets with will definitely transcend into a jointed team play” reads a statement from Livingstone Sports Agency that manages him.

Last season, Mitala featured at yet another Uganda Premier League; Lugazi Football Club.

The overwhelming desire to attain the much craved playing time experience and fresh challenges prompted his transfer.

Calvary Football Club is steadily assembling a competitive team prior to their maiden season in the highest docket of Uganda’s football pyramid.

The club is now coached by Jimmy Kintu.

For their first match of the season, Calvary Football Club will entertain Police on 27th September 2025 at the Midigo primary school playground in Yumbe district.
