Hon. Mubaraka Munyagwa slams Irene Namubiru over ‘My Mother Knows’ book

Former Kawempe South MP, Hon. Mubaraka Munyagwa, has come out swinging against singer Irene Namubiru, following the release of her new book, “My Mother Knows.”
In the 300-page book, Irene Namubiru recounts the ordeal her mother subjected her to from childhood.
Following the trauma that Namubiru shared in her book, she has become the talk of the town, with some criticizing her while others have applauded her for taking a bold step.
Among the outspoken people who have blasted her over the book is Hon. Mubaraka Munyagwa, who has asked her to remove the book from the bookstores and burn it, branding the book as ‘300 pages of stupidity’
“Irene Namubiru might have been the one in the wrong, and her mom was trying to correct her. She should remove all those books from the bookstores where she placed them. Remove all those books and burn them—300 pages of stupidity,” Hon. Munyagwa stated.
He further claimed that some people need to be arrested, as he wondered why Namubiru would publicly talk ill about her mother.
He also advised her to refrain from all her friends who advised her to do such a thing, saying it’s the worst advice she has ever received in her lifetime.
“Some people need to be arrested. How do you talk ill about your mother, and we leave you to walk freely? That’s an abomination. You don’t do that. Leave your mummy and ignore her. Those advising that way, ditch them because you won’t get another mother in your life,” Hon. Munyagwa submitted
