The hunt for a replacement for Muhammad Shaban at KCCA could be over following the return of Derrick Nsibambi to Lugogo.

The striker rejoins the Kasasiro for a second stint with his first being so fruitful between 2014 and 2019.

Nsibambi, a huge fan favourite during his time at Lugogo where he won several titles, the Uganda Cup and also played in the Intercontinental club competitions in the group stages is a proven forward who the technical team believe will fill the void left by Shaban who top scored in the UPL last season with 17 goals before he left for Libya’s Al Hilal Benghazi.

The lanky striker, now 30 years old has been featuring in the Kenya Premier League for Bandari.

He has also previously played for Smouha in Egypt, Sidama Coffee and Sebeta City in Ethiopia and URA as well.

Nsibambi has also been capped 22 times on the Uganda Cranes with 5 goals.
