JT Lady Jaguars penetrated past KCCA Leopards to take the lead in the quarterfinals of the Castle Lite National Basketball League playoffs.
JT Lady Jaguars secured a 65-55 victory against KCCA Leopards in the game one of the best-of-three encounters on Friday night at Lugogo Arena.
KCCA Leopards opened up a seven-point (23-16) lead at the end of the first stanza.
JT Jaguars went seven points into the second quarter without a bucket before later going on to trail by eight points (32-24) at halftime.
Despite the strong fight by JT Lady Jaguars, they trailed by two points at the end of the close-ended third quarter.
KCCA Leopards were limited to only six points as Brenda Kayaga crowned the day with a simple layup to secure a 10-point victory.
Perus Nyamwenge’s game-high 19 points were not enough to guide her side to a victory. Margaret Bagala added 10 points for the KCCA Panthers.
Brenda Kayaga (18), Maimuna Nabbosa (15), and Sarah Ageno (11) scored in double digits for the JT Lady Jaguars.
