The Chateau De Versailles facility has been a bee-hive of chores for Modern Pentathlon sport at the Paris 2024 Olympics in France.
This sport entails Horse Riding (Equestrian), Fencing, Shooting, Running and Swimming.
Uganda’s official Joseph Collins Ssemanda has had the privilege and honour to serve as an official during Modern Pentathlon at the Olympic Games.
Ssemanda is humbled by the opportunity to officiate at the Olympics.
“It is a big honour to serve at the Olympics” Ssemanda who is General Secretary of Uganda Modern Pentathlon remarks.
He believes that the experience will steer the game in the right direction for Uganda, East Africa and the entire African continent.
“I have been able to learn a lot more about the game of Modern Pentathlon, worked with the finest athletes in the entire world. I will be able to share the experience when I return home, to develop the game in Uganda, East Africa and on the African continent” Ssemanda added.
Ssemanda has been able to liaise with the top brass officials of the game in the world as Dr. H.C Klaus Schormann (president of Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM), Sylvestre Zare (Confederation of Africa Modern Pentathlon) and president of India Modern Pentathlon Namdev Shiragaonkar, the Secretary General NOC India and founder Pentathlon In India, among others.
