Lawrence Bukenya has re-signed for Wakiso Giants following a brief stint at Kitara.

The Purple Sharks announced Bukenya has returned to the club with pictures of the midfielder already in club training although details of his contractual details are scanty.

“Before you even knew that he had left, Lawrence Bukenya is back at the club,” the club wrote on its social media pages.

“We can’t just wait to get started. Welcome back home, BK.”

Bukenya is a product of the KCCA soccer academy but spent four years with the Purple Sharks – the entire time the club has been in the Uganda Premier League.

His return is a big boost to Wakiso Giants who have also had skipper Hassan Ssenyonjo sign a two-year contract extension until 2026.

Wakiso Giants have also signed Zambian Erick Kabamba, striker Hudson Mbalire from CATDA, Derrick Kaija from UPDF and defender Shuaib Mtita on loan from Young Africans.
