Junior Gazelles and Junior Silverbacks qualified for the FIBA Africa Zone V U18 Qualifiers finals after seeing off Tanzania on Thursday.
The Junior Gazelles won the one-sided encounter 100-56 with every Gazelle getting on to the scoresheet led by usual suspect Resty Nanangwe who scored a game-high 20 points to go with 13 rebounds.
Modesta Anyango (17), Shiphrah Kiranda (12), Christine Namyalo (11) and Abigail Mpoza (11) also scored in double figures for Uganda while Tanzania were led by Elizabeth Laizer (15 points) and Namsifu Kimera (13).
In the primetime fixture, Junior Silverbacks recorded a 104-41 win and like the girls, every Ugandan scored at least 2 points.
Brighton Galiwanga led the scoring with a game-high 16 points, Mukisa Nkugwa added 14, Peter Sserunjogi chipped in with 13, Aron Makmot had 10 while Tejan Rugette scored 10 points. and dropped 13 dimes.
