Joint campaigns in Hoima NRM fostering cohesion and unity.

National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidates in Hoima City have commended the work that Eng. Jonard Asiimwe is organizing joint campaigns for different political positions in Hoima City.
The current internal elections within the ruling party have been marred by wrangles among fellow party members, which prompted interventions to hold peaceful campaigns.
During the joint campaigns in Hoima on Tuesday, 9th July 2025, Eng. Asiimwe, who is also in the race for NRM Vice Chairperson for Western Uganda, said that party unity, grassroots cohesion, and discipline must define this electoral season.
“As a leader, my job is to ensure that NRM remains one family. Internal elections should not break us apart. The party gave clear guidelines on joint campaigns, and we’ve simply followed them while emphasizing respect for one another,” Asiimwe said in his remarks after Tuesday’s rally in Hoima City.
NRM Party leaders in Hoima City have credited Eng Asiimwe’s professional background and calm temperament for his ability to bring even fierce rivals together.
Under his guidance, all NRM aspirants in Hoima City, from LC structures to Parliamentary hopefuls, have participated in joint mobilization events without major incident. The rallies have been held on schedule, without violence, and with growing turnouts, a sharp contrast from scenes of chaos reported elsewhere in the country.
It should be remembered that Eng. Jonard Asiimwe, is the current National Resistance Movement Chairman for Hoima City, who officially declared his bid for the position of NRM Vice Chairperson for Western Uganda on the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC)
The energy and certified project Manager recently said that his candidature brings a unique fusion of ideological depth, professional competence, and grassroots mobilization to the top leadership table of the ruling National Resistance Movement.
“We need to retool the party’s top decision-making organ with technically grounded leaders who understand people, policy, and production. This race is not about position, it’s about purpose” he aid
He also serves as Executive Director of Jonard Conglomerate Investments Ltd and is the founder of the Jonard Development Foundation, a platform advancing youth skilling, value addition, and ideological awareness.
Asiimwe’s CEC bid is anchored on four pillars: party discipline, scientific resource management, mindset transformation, and grassroots revitalization.
