KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM) held the inaugural ceremony for the 2025–27 batch of MBA (Rural Management) and MBA (Agribusiness Management) on July 14, 2025. The event was graced by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT, KISS & KIMS; Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor, KIIT Deemed to be University; and Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar.
In his welcome address, Dr. Achyuta Samanta warmly greeted the new cohort, including seven international students. He encouraged them to make the most of KIIT’s world-class infrastructure, faculty, and the United Nations Volunteer Programme. Comparing KIIT to a vast garden, he described KSRM as a “small but beautiful flower,” and urged students to uphold its spotless reputation.
Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor highlighted KIIT’s multidisciplinary ecosystem that fosters cross-domain learning and collaboration. He praised the faculty’s depth of experience and student engagement. He emphasized that KSRM MBAs are on par with general MBAs and are uniquely positioned to contribute to the agri and rural sectors — areas with significant untapped growth potential. He also spotlighted KISS as a globally recognized model of social transformation and urged students to benefit from KIIT’s premier sports facilities and gyms. A major announcement was the inclusion of KSRM students in the prestigious United Nations Volunteer Programme, offering them valuable international exposure.
Registrar Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty underscored KIIT’s recent accolades and its consistent rise in national and global rankings. He noted that the numerous awards bestowed upon the Founder reflect the high regard he commands worldwide. He encouraged students to take pride in the legacy and vision that define KIIT.
Earlier, Prof. Nishith Parida, Director, KSRM, extended a warm welcome to all dignitaries and guests. Mr. S. Samir Panda, Vice President — Corporate Relations; Prof. Soumyendu S. Ray, Director General; and Padma Shri Adwaita Gadanayak, Director General, KIIT Art Academy, also graced the occasion. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Damodar Jena.
