Girls

  • Kawanda Secondary School Vs Wampeewo Ntake
  • Kibuli Secondary School Vs Iganga Secondary School
  • Mbogo High School Vs Kakungulu Memorial School
  • Kyeizoba Vs Gombe Secondary School

Boys:

  • Ntare School Vs St Henry’s College Kitovu
  • Kakungulu Memorial School Vs Wampeewo Ntake
  • Bombo Army Vs Gombe Secondary School
  • Mbogo Mixed Vs Kawanda Secondary School

The 2024 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) ball games 2 are nearing their climax at Teso College Aloet in Soroti.

Handball sport witnessed the completion of the group stages on Monday morning with the successful 16 teams progressing to the quarter finals (8 per gender).

The girls quarter final menu has Kawanda Secondary School against Wampeewo Ntake, Kibuli Secondary School facing Iganga Secondary School, Mbogo High School up against Kakungulu Memorial School and Bombo Army tussling out with Gombe Secondary School.

Kawanda Secondary School topped group B with 12 points whilst Kyeizooba Girls High School came second with 9 points.

In group B, Gombe SS led with 12 points, two ahead of Wampeewo Ntake.

Kibuli Secondary School was best school in group C with 14 points, two points ahead of rivals Kakungulu Memorial School.

Mbogo High School was best in group D girls with 14 points and Iganga SS came second with 11 points.

Boys:

The boys action in the quarter finals will have Mbarara basedNtare School against Masaka’s St Henry’s College Kitovu.

Ntare School topped group A with 12 points, same as Kakungulu Memorial Secondary School.

The former had 49 goal’s difference to Kakungulu Memorial’s 44 goals.

St Henry’s Kitovu finished second in group B with 6 points, behind leaders Wampeewo Ntake (8 points).

Like in the girls’ match up, Kakungulu Memorial School will face Wampeewo Ntake in the boys’ quarter final fixture.

Elsewhere, Bombo Army will play Lubiri Secondary School and Mbogo Mixed will take on Kawanda Secondary School in the other duel.

Bombo Army finished second in group C with 11 points (45 goals’ difference) whilst Mbogo Mixed topped the pool with 11 points (46 goals’ difference).

 Handball (boys and girls) is among the different sporting disciplines being played with the others being rugby 7’s, basketball 3X3, netball, athletics and volleyball.

These games are qualifiers to the 2024 FEASSSA Games that will be co-hosted by Bukedea Comprehensive and Amus College School.
