FUFA Super 8: NEC kick out URA at Lugogo

National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) Football Club has claimed a slot in the final of the ongoing FUFA Super 8 tournament.

NEC held URA in a goalless stalemate in the FUFA Super 8 encounter at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Saturday evening.

After a goalless draw in normal time, NEC won 4-3 in the post-match penalty shootout to become the first team to reach the final.

Emmanuel Ajo, Kizza Mustapha, Joseph Dhata and Warren Buule converted NEC’s four penalties while Ibrahim Musa’s penalty hardly failed to find the back of the net.

On the other hand, Moses Aliro, Faisal Matovu and Abraham Tusubira converted from the 12-yard mark before Fred Amaku failed to score his.

NEC will take on the winner between SC Villa and BUL in the final of the ongoing tournament that will be played at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba in Mengo.
