Usama Arafat Bids Farewell to KCCA Ahead of Vipers Move

Uganda Cranes winger Usama Arafat has penned an emotional farewell message to his former club KCCA FC.
The exciting winger leaves the Lugogo-based side as a free agent, confirming his departure in a statement posted on his social media accounts on Saturday evening.
“Hello pals! I want to start by expressing my deepest gratitude to everyone who has been part of my journey at KCCA FC. My time at this incredible club has come to an end, and I am truly thankful for the support, guidance, and opportunities I’ve received,” Usama wrote.
He went on to reserve special praise for the management, coaches, teammates, and fans:
“To the management, coaches, staff, and my teammates — thank you for believing in me and helping me grow as a player and as a person. I will always carry the lessons and memories from this club with me. It has been an honor to wear the KCCA FC badge, and I wish the club continued success in the years ahead.”
Usama joined KCCA in July 2021 following his standout performances in the 2020 Buganda Masaza Cup, where he was named Most Valuable Player.
After four seasons at Lugogo, he leaves as one of the league’s brightest talents and was also part of the CHAN team in the recently concluded tournament co-hosted by Uganda.
Reports indicate that Usama has already completed his move to Vipers SC and is only awaiting official unveiling.
He is expected to strengthen the Venoms, who will also be involved in continental competitions next season.
Usama began his career at Mbale Tigers Soccer Academy before stints with CRO and later Kajjansi United, a third-division side in the Buganda Regional League.
