Kigali Golf Resort and Villas-based professional golfer Celestine Nsanzuwera is vividly living his dream.
The talented Rwandese golfer won the 2025 Uganda Professional Golf Open Championship played at the par-71 Lugazi Hills Golf and Country Club.

“I am so excited. I needed this victory,” Nsanzuwera exclaimed moments after he was crowned.
“It was a good competitive tournament and I give credit to the rest of the players in the championship,” he added.
Kenya’s Njoroge Kibugu finished with 3-under-281 for second place while Cameroon’s Pristhy Fon Nji settled for third place with 282.
The best Ugandan was Marvin Kibirige who was tied in fourth position with Robson Chinhoi of Zimbabwe at 283.
Fresh from clinching the Johnnie Walker Uganda Amateur Open championship, Joseph Cwinya-ai finished as the best amateur golfer.
David Kamulindwa and Greg Snow (Kenya) tied for 7th place with 288 gross.
Zimbabwe’s Visitor Mapwanya and Kenya’s legendary pro Dismas Indiza were 9th and 10th with 289 and 290 gross scores respectively.
The professionals’ open climaxed the three-week gruelling Uganda Golf Open series that also had the seniors, ladies and amateurs’ open events.
