Defending Champions Jinja SS reached their second consecutive Schools Cricket Week final without breaking a sweat after they defeated Delhi Public School by 10 wickets in the semifinal.

The four-time winners will be looking for a fifth title tomorrow afternoon in front of a passionate home crowd.

Record winners, Busoga College Mwiri, battled Nyakasura School in a bruising semifinal to set up a final with a familiar opponent. Mwiri won the toss and batted first and despite losing their run machine Gerald Olipa early, they found a way to post 110/5 in their 20 overs. Nyakasura School failed to change gears from the start as they lost wickets in succession to fall short by 33 runs. Nyakasura missed out on a third consecutive final while Mwiri avenged last year’s semifinal loss to the same opponent.

Shree Sahajand School took care of Ntare School to set up a plate final with King’s College Budo who edged Masaka SS by a run in a low-scoring thriller. The two Central teams will meet in the final in the morning.

Jinja SS chasing a second consecutive title and fifth heaven overall while Busoga College Mwiri is chasing a 20th title. They last won in 2022.
