In an interview on Galaxy FM, events promoter Balunywa disclosed the substantial investments he made in organizing concerts for top Ugandan artists.

Balunywa revealed that he spent UGX 189 million on a B2C Entertainment concert in 2022 and UGX 179 million on a Geosteady concert held at Hotel Africana last year.

Balunywa shared these figures to highlight the financial commitments promoters make to ensure successful music events.

He emphasized that despite these hefty investments, the returns are often minimal, with some events even resulting in losses.

However, he pointed out that artists typically expect to receive their share of the proceeds, regardless of the financial outcome of the event.

His comments come amidst a heated dispute between Promoter Nobat and the remaining member of the Goodlyfe crew over the division of concert proceeds.
