Public & Private Top Trend & Pace Setters awarded at the 2024 Trendsetters' Forum

Top Ugandan Business individuals and leaders have been rec as Pace setters and winners from both the public and private sectors.

These awards according to the organizers have been given to the winners for their outstanding contributions in the shaping society and uplifting livelihoods.

During the 5th Trend Setters Forum held on the 29th August 2024 at Sheraton Hotel, various dignitaries and business leaders that received the awards included:

Life Time achievement award winners were:

Hon Daudi Migereko, Mr. Baart Kakooza, Dr. Ashraf Ssemwogerere.

In the Public Sector, Owek.Joyce Ssebugwawo, Minister of State ICT and National Guidance, Dr. Musenero Monica Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Joseph Muvawala Executive Director National Planning Authority, Hon. Nobert Mao Minister of State Constitution Affairs received the awards. 

Some of the Trendsetters awarded includes; Dr. Rose NakasiR from the Ocular AI project based at Makerere university, Dr. Warren Carey from Infitx.

Under the Youth category they included: Mr Robert Okello from Marifaasasa company received the award recognizing the Youth Startup Academy, Coach Margarine -Yunga Technologies and Prof Bio Research.

Lydia Mwesigwa received the award as a private sector player from Mesha Steel recognized for the customized corporate culture in a Male dominated Industry. 

This year’s Trend setters forum was supported by different partners including; YSA-U, National Planning Authority, Hipipo, Goldkach, Jubilee Insurance, Solid rock Life and Business, Charmar news among others.
