Twenty-five (25) finest women are set to line up for the 10,000m final at Stade De France in Paris on Friday evening.

Uganda will be represented by the duo of Sarah Chelangat and Annet Chemengich Chelangat.

The would-be third runner Joy Cheptoyek pulled out citing an injury.

Sarah Chelangat’s Personal Best in this race is 30:24.04 whilst Annet Chemengich’s Personal Best time over the same distance is 34:00.40.

Coming to this final, Ethiopia’s Gudaf Tsegay has the best seasonal time of 29:05.92.

She is closely followed by Kenya’s Lillian Kasait Rengeruk (29:26.89) and Margaret Chelimo Kipkemboi (29:27.59).

Another Ethiopian duo of Fotyen Tesfay (29:47.71) and Tsigie Gebreselama (29:48.34) follow suit.

The race will take place at Stade De France at 21:57 hours (East African Time). This will be the second last event of the day before the men’s 400M hurdles final.
