2024 Olympic hosts France battles against Spain in the gold medal match of men’s football on Friday at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris city.
This contest will be officiated by Brazilian referee Ramon Abatti Abel.
The two countries seek for their second title ever in the Olympics. Spain won in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona whilst France’s last victory came 40 years ago at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles city, United States of America (USA).
During the semi-finals, France eliminated Egypt 3-1 after extra time whilst Spain edged Morocco 2-1.
The bronze medal match witnessed Morocco humiliate Egypt 6-0 at Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes city, France on Thursday evening.
Soufiane Rahimi scored a brace with the other four goals coming from Abde Ezzalzouli, Bilal El Khannous, Akram Nakach and Achraf Hakimi during the contest officiated by Espen Andreas Eskas.
