Express FC have confirmed the signing of former U-20 international striker Richard Basangwa.

The forward, a graduate of the Vipers Junior team joins as a free agent after leaving Egypt’s Wadi Degla.

He has been without a club since January 31 after his ties with the Egyptian club ended.

Details of the deal with the Red Eagles were not revealed but he will give the club more options in attack along with Sam Ssenyonjo, Alpha Ssali and John Asiimwe among others and could make his debut on Thursday versus NEC at Nakivubo.

At Lugogo, KCCA have re-signed striker Sadat Anaku ‘aka’ Ada after his stint in Scotland.

The graduate of their soccer academy returns to the club he left in 2022 when he joined Scotland’s Dundee United.

The 23-year-old offers a different dimension in KCCA attack with his direct runs behind the strikers and is a compliment to Derrick Nsibambi who leads the attack.

Anaku trained with the Kasasiro recently and if everything is sorted, he could feature against Soltilo Bright Stars on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Ugandan international Travis Mutyaba has reportedly landed in France and sealed a deal with a Ligue 1 club yet to be revealed according to his agency.

Reports suggest that the highly rated youngster could even make his debut over the weekend before the next international break where Uganda Cranes play back to back Afcon 2025 qualifier versus South Sudan.

At Villa Park, the club unveiled right back Frank Mulimi who featured for Gaddafi last season.

The defender will compete for a place on the team with makeshift right back David Owori who has filled in since the start of the season.

SC Villa havent had a natural right back since the last season after the injury to Tabu which kept him in the sickbay for the whole of last season after a successful surgery.

Mulimi could be in the squad when the champions visit rivals Vipers SC on Saturday at Kitende.
