Mbarara City picked their first win of the season beating hosts BUL 2-0 at Lugazi stadium, Najjembe on Wednesday.

Seiri Arigumaho double condemned the hosts, last season’s runners up to a second defeat in as many games and they remain without a win since the campaign started only picking two draws.

The Ankole Lions got in front five minutes to the break when Arigumaho twisted and turned in the area to slot home after BUL defence failed to clear their lines.

Arigumaho then sealed his brace with a calm finish on the hour mark after a cross from the left was not dealt with by Joel Mutakubwa in the hosts’ goal.

The result lifts Living Mbabazi’s men to 6th position on the log with 5 points leaving Abbey Kikomeko’s BUL second from bottom with two points.

Pre-season favourites BUL will face URA at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo after the international break while Mbarara City will host Kitara at Kakyeeka – both games on October 18.
