Footage Surfaces Of Latto Being Pulled Over By Police

On Friday, July 19, Raq Rarest published body cam footage of Latto being stopped by police. According to the date, the incident occurred on September 28, 2023, around 2 a.m.

In the footage, an officer walks up to Latto’s yellow vehicle and asks for her identification. Latto, whose real name is Alyssa Stephens, explains to the officer that she’s a rapper before briefly adding that she ran a red light because she was “trying to hurry up and get home.”

Furthermore, the rapper stated that fans recognized her car, and she wanted to keep the location of her destination safe.

Latto explained that she was celebrating a friend’s birthday at a club. Ultimately, the officer asked the rapper to take a breathalyzer test. Afterward, the officer presented Latto with a ticket for running a red light and encouraged her to be more careful while driving.

Social Media Reacts

Social media users reacted to the footage of Latto being pulled over in the comment section on YouTube.

YouTube user @derrickj127 wrote, I can imagine the paranoia of stopping at red lights in the dead of night when you’re driving your fancy noticeable Lamborghini, but that’s when you opt for a driver in a Black Suburban to move stealth”

While YouTube user @spicysauce4739 added, ay respect to latto for getting pulled over and not acting like an entitled celebrity. she took the ticket and accepted responsibility like any of us normal folk would have”

YouTube user @@Str8profit1016 wrote, D**n right she running red lights. Every rapper know not to stop at red lights”

While YouTube user @Tonia-cb5qv added, These rappers kill me they buy noticeable cars, but everybody might see who I am and expect not to be noticedmake it make sense!”

YouTube user @@esils wrote,Asking for her rap name just to use it to say “latto you can’t run red lights” is diabolical”

While YouTube user @4sup47 added, this is from 2023 to anyone who cant read she shouldnt have said anything they didnt need to ask her but she has a point people do follow cars”

Meanwhile, reactions also continued on X, formerly known as Twitter.

At this time, Latto hasn’t publicly reacted to the surfaced footage of her arrest.

GloRilla & Lil Baby Previously Went Viral After Video Surfaced Of Their Arrests

Latto isn’t the only rapper who has had footage of their traffic stop surface on social media. In April, footage went viral of GloRilla being pulled over by cops. In the footage, she insisted she was okay. However, the officer noted smelling substances on her person and vehicle, per The Shade Room.

Last month, Lil Baby made headlines when news surfaced of him being pulled over in 2020. As The Shade Room previously reported, the rapper was cited for having the windows in his vehicle tinted too dark.

Like Latto, Baby appeared to be concerned with fans recognizing his car.

“Gotta have tints in Atlanta. These folks crazy,” he reportedly told the officer. “I’ll take a ticket before I have somebody follow me home.”
