Najib Yiga, Patrick Kakande and Reagan Mpande scored for SC Villa in the 3-1 win over Singida Black Stars in their second game of the 2024 Kagame Cup.
Yiga curled an effort from over 25 yards to give the Blues a halftime lead before Kakande converted from the spot a few minutes after the break following a foul on Mpande seven minutes into the second half.
Mpande sealed the win with an easy tap in off a low cross from the day’s captain David Owori in the 56th minute.
Singinda got its consolation through Togolese Marouf Tchakei but Villa held on to bag three points.
With APR beating South Sudan’s El Merriekh Bentiu 1-0 in the Group C, Villa must now beat the Rwanda army which now lead the standings with 6 points, two better than the Uganda Premier League champions.
