Pastor Bujjingo’s ambitious plan to build multiple ‘Pentagons’ across Uganda

Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo has revealed his ambitious vision to build multiple large churches, known as “Pentagons,” across Uganda.
His plan comes in response to the overwhelming turnout at his religious gatherings in various regions of the country.

In a Youtube interview with Ibrah K Mukasa, Bujjingo revealed the urgent need for bigger worship spaces after witnessing large crowds struggling to find adequate venues during his events.
His current project, a massive mega-church in Makerere, Kikoni—also named “Pentagon”—has faced delays due to funding constraints. However, he remains committed to completing it before expanding to other parts of Uganda.
You saw our congregation in Mbale; the venue was too small for everyone.
Doesn’t Mbale need a Pentagon? And in Busoga, our gathering was immense—doesn’t that area deserve a Pentagon?
He also pointed out the large turnout in Fort Portal, despite heavy rainfall, suggesting that more people would have attended if the weather had been favorable.
Bujjingo’s vision is to establish similar mega-churches in different regions to accommodate the growing number of believers attending his services.
God should help us finish the first Pentagon. We need more of them across the country.
