After two rounds, Black Pearls and Avengers are tied on points (41) in the 2024 women’s Nile Special 7s Series. Both have won one circuit – Black Pearls in Entebbe and Avengers in Mbale, beating each other in the respective Cup Finals.

There is not much competition away from these two. Thunderbirds are still too strong for Nile Rapids in the bronze medal ranks while Kitgum Queens and She Wolves are sharing points with the invitational teams.

While it seemed like order had been restored in the men’s competition, there is a three-way tie on top of the overall standings.

Heathens, Pirates, and Rhinos each have thirty-two points from the last two circuits in Entebbe and Mbale. Impis are glued to the bottom of the table with just four points.

The winner of the 2024 series, for both men’s and women’s competitions, will be the team that accumulates the highest tally of points. Two lowest-ranked teams will be relegated from the men’s competition for the 2025 series and only one from the women’s.
