St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende football team kicked off their campaign during the 2024 FEASSA Games on a promising note.

The reigning and record champions overcame Kenya’s Highway SS 2-0 at the newly constructed Amus College stadium in Bukedea on Monday.

A goal in each half from Denis Kisiriko and Santos Agok inspired Abel Male’s coached side to victory during the contest played on artificial grass.

On the same ground, Amus College School played to a 2-all draw with Kenya’s Musingu High School in a game watched by a capacity crowd.

Football Girls:

In women football, St Noa Girls Zzana humbled Tanzania’s Tanzanite SS 2-0 at Amus playground natural grass field.

Slyvia Kabene came top with a brace for St Noa Girls school Zzana in this contest.

Amus College School girls team fell 0-2 to Kenya’s Butere Girls SS with Joy Valencia Angela scoring twice.

Two matches ended in non-scoring stalemates; all Kenyan affair between Nyakach Girls and Joseph’s Kitale as well as Alliance (Tanzania) and Rwanda’s GS Rumera Rukoma/

Action continues on Tuesday, 20th August 2024.

Football aside, there is also action in Rugby (7’s and 15’s), Handball, Hockey, Volleyball, Badminton, Goalball, basketball (3X3 and normal basketball), netball, handball, athletics, swimming, tennis and table tennis.

The games shall climax on Tuesday, 27th August 2024.
