JKL Lady Dolphins 68-70 JT Lady Jaguars (2-1)
The JT Lady Jaguars pulled back one after beating JKL Lady Dolphins 70-68 in the Semifinal series on Wednesday at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
The hard fought victory gave the Lady Jaguars some relief, hence forcing a game four and halting a sweep.
The JT Lady Jaguars started off on a positive note, opening a six-point (18-12) lead at the end of the opening period.
Mary Nambogo’s layup concluded the second period as the Lady Jaguars trailed by four points while going into the long break.
Coming from the locker rooms, the Lady Jaguars fought back in the third quarter, thus creating a five-point (53-48) lead.
Despite the Lady Dolphins’ fight in the final period, the Lady Dolphins hang in to secure a two-point victory.
Rhoda Nagitta (14 points), Mercy Batamuliza (14 points), and Sarah Ageno (13 points) led the JT Lady Jaguars’ scoring charge in double digits.
In the same breath, Batamuliza was impressive, pulling down 19 rebounds to keep a great look under the hoops.
Evelyn Nakiyingi (19 points), Ekone Brenda (10 points), and Hope Akello (10 points) paced the Lady Dolphins’ offence.
