National 7s core status qualifiers teams confirmed

As the National 7s come to a conclusion with 2 more stops to go, the bottom two men’s and one women’s side shall face the knife at the close of the series. To replace them, the National 7s core status qualifying tournament is going to be held as the decider. At this tournament, 8 men’s and 4 women’s teams from across the country shall compete in order to gain promotion.
Teams like Victoria Sharks came so close last year, but missed out on the opportunity, hence the Kampani Eagles and Gulu City Falcons gaining promotion. However, the two promoted men’s sides have found life in the major leagues to be quite tough, as they both sit at the bottom of the bottle, alongside the Elgon Wolves, who are only playing their second National 7s series.
For the ladies, the Walukuba Titans who were promoted last year, made their intentions known from the very first circuit; that they are not getting relegated soon. They finished in the final of the Coronation 7s, and have managed to put on a string of decent performances, for a newly promoted side of school girls.
Whereas a particular date has not been scheduled for the core status qualifiers, it is widely believed that some time after the National 7s, the tournament shall be held.
With the Kings of Africa University 7s happening on the 4th and 5th of October in Nairobi, Kenya, and the Safari 7s happening the weekend thereafter, we are still uncertain of when the Uganda Rugby Union shall hold the competition.
What we know for sure is that the Victoria Sharks, Makerere Impis, KIU Crows, Buddu Bears, Kitgum Lions, Lira Bulls and Njeru Hurricanes shall represent the Central, West, North and East respectively, while the Ewes, Kigezi Queens, Kitgum Queens and Mbale Eagles shall represent the aforementioned regions in that order.
