North Eastern regional side MYDA Football Club overcame visiting Busei United (Eastern region) 2-0 during the return leg of the regional playoff in Kachumbala on Thursday, 27th June 2024.

Innocent Opira and John Brian Otim scored in either half for MYDA under wet conditions after rains during the opening stanza.

Opira scored the opener in the first half before a late goal from Otim sealed their victory and a erth to the second tier division as they target return to the top flight where they belonged a couple of seasons ago.

Meanwhile, Buganda region’s Ntungasaze Football Club also qualified to the betPawa big league at the expense of Kampala region’s Proline.

Ntungasaze overturned a 1-2 first leg deficit to win 2-0 in the return leg played at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo in Kampala city.

Michael “Kimmick” Kimera and Peter Calvin Emayo were both on target for visiting Ntungasaze before a passionate crowd to make it 3-2 on aggregate.

Kimera scored the first goal on the stroke of the opening stanza of the game to take a 1-0 lead by the mandatory half time break.

Emayo found the second and match winner with a quarter an hour left on the clock and extend their lead which they jealously protected.

The first leg played at the Mityana Ssaza ground had witnessed Proline win 2-1 on the road.

The 2024-2025 betPawa big league season is ear-marked to kick off by late September 2024.
