Mbale Heroes has confirmed Richard Malinga is still in charge as the club waits to tussle it out with URA on Saturday.
The Surgeons go into the game on the back a 1-0 defeat at Wakiso Giants and rumor has been circulating that Malinga was relieved of his duties in the aftermath.
“We confirm that reports of our coach Malinga Richard leaving our club are untrue. Please disregard them,” read a club statement on ‘X’.
With three points after as many games, the hosts will look to add to the tally and playing at home where they beat champions SC Villa on match day two gives them optimism.
For the visiting tax collectors, the urge to win is evident after dropping points in the 1-1 draw with Mbarara City at Nakivubo last week.
