Eddy Kenzo advises artists to collaborate to avoid concert date clashes

Eddy Kenzo, the President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), has weighed in on the artists concert date clashes that have marred the entertainment industry lately.

The Big Talent Entertainment boss believes there is no proper solution for how such a thing can be stopped since the number of artists joining the music business grows each day.

He narrates that the only short-term solution is for artists having concerts on the same dates to sit down and talk to each other and agree to a common goal.

Eddy Kenzo, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives added that it does not look cool to have concert date clashes but it is now not something that can be avoided.

He implored artistes to work smarter and improve on how the market their shows since the industry is now more competitive than before.

It wouldn’t have been right for artists to pit concerts against each other but now, we reached a point where we have no option because the number of people on earth continues to multiply yet the map does not expand.

Back in the day, artists used to be few but now they are very many. They would release music and accord each other space and time but now there is no room.

“What we have to do is sit and get a short-term solution which I think should be among artists themselves giving each other a phone call and discussing on the concert days.”
