  • Kyadondo 1-0 Bugerere
  • Gomba 0-2 Kyaggwe
  • Mawogola 1-0 Kooki
  • Kabula 1-0 Ssese
  • Busiro 0-1 Busujju
  • Buwekula 0-0 Ssingo

Saturday, 29th June Results:

  • Butambala 1-0 Buddu
  • Buvuma 0-0 Mawokota

Match day one of the 2024 Buganda Masaza football championship concluded on Sunday, 30th June at various venues within the Kingdom.

Of the six games played, five were clear cut victories with one goalless draw between Buwekula and Ssingo.

Kyadondo, winners of the championship in 2008 overcame visiting Bugerere 1-0 at the Hormisdallen nursey and primary school playground, Gayaza.

Forward Isaac Ssenyunja was the goal scorer during the well-attended match.

At the Kabulasoke PTC playground in Gomba, the home team was shocked with a 0-2 loss by Kyaggwe.

Busiro, champions in 2022, fell 0-1 at their Ssentema fortress to visiting Busujju.

In other matches, Mawogola edged Kooki 1-0, the same result that Kabula used to overcome Ssese. Collins Ochatre was the scorer of Mawogola’s goal at home.

On Saturday, 29th June 2024, Butambala had defeated visiting Buddu 1-0 at the Kibibi secondary school playground.

Yusuf Kato was the hero with the all-important goal, a well struck penalty for the maximum points of the team coached by Musitafa Kayinda.

Meanwhile, islanders Buvuma and Mawokota settled for a non-scoring stalemate in the other game at the Magyo playground.
